Aaron Copeland
Aaron Copeland was father of Sally Fletcher and Miles Copeland. He was only seen in flashbacks to his children's childhood. He was played by Timothy Walter.
Backstory[]
Aaron married Diana Keating in the 1970s. In 1978 Diana gave birth to twins Sally and Miles. Unfortunately, Aaron was a drunk and an abusive husband. When things went sour at home, Diana threatened to leave him and to stop him from seeing their children. In retaliation, Aaron ran away with Miles and vanished without a trace. He decided against taking Sally as well because he felt life on the road wouldn't be suitable for a little girl.
In his absence, Diana remarried. She later died in a boating accident, along with her new husband Derek Wilson. Aaron found out about this when he came across an old newspaper article in 1988. He began to search for Sally who was now an orphan. After doing some detective work, he learned that she had moved to Summer Bay with her foster parents the Fletchers. He and Miles made a trip to Summer Bay but then he made a big decision. After having heard how great the Fletchers were, and after seeing how nice Summer Bay was, he decided she'd have a better life there. He and Miles left again without seeing her.
After this, Aaron's life went downhill. He lost his job and began to drink heavily. In 2000 he died from alcohol related dementia.
