Pre Home And Away career[]

Ada was born on the 14th May 1977 in Sydney, New South Wales to Greek immigrant parents. As a teenager she trained at the Johnny Young Talent School. Before being cast as Leah on Home and Away, she appeared in the soap opera/serial Heartbreak High for 3 years (1994-1997). She also joined the cast of Police Rescue for its 1995 season. In 1998 she joined the cast of Breakers, which was filmed at Bondi Beach. However the serial was cancelled after 2 seasons. She had a small role in The Matrix and appeared in an episode of the children's TV series BeastMaster.

Home and Away 2000-[]

Ada was approached by Home and Away's producers about the role of Leah and was offered a six month contact. As we now know, the contract was extended by quite a bit!

In 2005 she won the third season of Dancing with the Stars with partner Aric Yegudkin. She returned to the competition in 2021 for Dancing with the Stars: All Stars, again competing with Aric. In 2012-13 she hosted the reality TV series Please Marry My Boy. In 2018 she made a guest appearance in an episode of the children's TV show Drop Dead Weird.

In August 2022, Ada made a guest appearance on the Home and Away fan podcast, Welcome To The Bay. During it, she revealed that her mother was an advisor in the run-up to Leah and Vinnie's Greek-Scottish wedding.

Memorable Info[]

  • Ada is now the third-longest serving cast member on Home and Away. She still has a long way to go to catch up with Ray Meagher (who has played Alf Stewart since 1988) and Lynne McGranger (who has played Irene Roberts since 1993).
  • In 1992 Ada auditioned unsuccessfully for the role of Sarah Thompson. The part went to Laura Vazquez instead. These days, Laura works as Head of Hair and Makeup on Home and Away.
