Alan Cinis (born 10 August, 1960) is a former actor who played Ralph Patterson intermittently between 1999-2003. Ralph wasn't his only appearance on Home and Away. In 1988 he worked as a voiceover artist on 2 episodes. In 2008 he appeared in two episodes as a vagrant. In 2008 he was elected to Leichhardt Council, representing the NSW Greens party. [1]

Alan was born in Orange, NSW in 1960. He began acting as a child, making his debut aged just 9. Over the years he worked steadily as an actor, appearing on stage, in commercials, on TV and in films [2]. In 2008 he was elected to Leichhardt Council (now known as Inner West Council). In 2011 he pleaded guilty to possessing and growing cannabis at his home and was placed on a good behaviour bond [3]
