As Fred Archer (1994)
Andrew S. Gilbert (born 31 July 1961)[1] is an award-winning actor who had two guest roles on Home and Away. In 1991 he played Ian Gardiner, a violent man who checked into the caravan park with his family. He soon fell foul of the police and punched Donald Fisher. In 1994 he returned as Fred Archer, who briefly employed Shane Parrish.
Andrew's appearances on Home and Away were towards the beginning of his career. He went on to play Colin Friels's brother in Water Rats, Tony Twist in Round the Twist and Gavin Braithwaite. He won an AFI for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his work on Kiss or Kill. He was nominated again in 1999 and 2001. In 2002 he won an FCCA Award for his supporting role in Mullet. More recently he has appeared in Five Bedrooms, INXS: Never Tear Us Apart and The Doctor Blake Mysteries [2]
