Ben McPhee

Ben McPhee was a minor character in 1988. He was the grandson of Neville McPhee and his wife Floss. He was played Justin Rosniak.

Backstory[]

Ben McPhee was born in 1977 to Scott McPhee and Anna McPhee. He never met his grandparents on his father's side because he had cut them out of his life a few years before he was born. Scott was a successful businessman but not so good at being a parent. Ben wanted for nothing materially but grew to become a bit of a brat.

1988[]

When his parents went abroad for a while, they left Ben behind to be looked after by a nanny. He wasn't an easy child to look after because of his attitude. He was far more interested in playing computer games than talking to anybody, young or old. He didn't even have friends of his own age. Floss sneakily got the job of being Ben's latest nanny and finally managed to get through to him. She brought him to Summer Bay to stay with her and Neville in their gypsy van. He became friends with Sally Fletcher. He also found out who Floss and Neville really were.

When his father found out who "Mrs Neville" the nanny really was, he cut contact with his parents again. He manipulated Floss and Neville into saying they didn't want to see Ben any more but Pandora's Box had already been opened. Ben kicked up a fuss and became difficult at home. Eventually, Neville manoeuvred Scott into bringing Ben to visit them on Mother's Day. The day ended with Scott reluctantly agreeing to let Ben continue to see his grandparents.
