Backstory[]
Bridget O'Rourke was born the second child of Harold O'Rourke and Mrs O'Rourke. She had an older sister Ailsa and a brother Tony. Bridget married in 1971 and had a daughter Emma in 1972. Bridget's first husband died in 1980 and she married a man called Barry Jackson and went on to have 2 children with him, Justin Jackson and Troy Jackson. Barry was abusive towards Emma. This led Emma to run away in 1989.
1990[]
Bridget turned up in May 1990 as the bitchy sister of Ailsa Stewart and the mother of Emma Jackson. She used Emma as a ploy to win her hsuband back which resulted in Emma moving away from the bay with her mother. Bridget then won Barry back and Emma returned to Summer Bay after realising her mother had not changed at all. Emma then left Summer Bay to go to university.
Since 1990, Bridget has not visited Summer Bay and has cut all ties. She did not even attend her sister Ailsa's funeral in 2001.
