Carl Hayes was a guest character in 2024. He was the father of Perri Hayes but was killed by his son. He was played by Matthew Holmes

Backstory

Carl was a criminal whose relationship with his son Perri deteriorated after the death of Perri's mother. He beat his son and forced him to carry out crimes on his behalf. After Perri was caught breaking into a house, he was taken into custody and ended up in Tane Parata's troubled youths program.

2024

Carl tracked Perri down to Summer Bay Fit and asked him to help him with a job, reminding him that family comes first. They were interrupted by gym owner Tane Parata, who told Carl to leave and not come back. After trying and failing to make Perri come away with him, Carl looked Tane up online. He discovered that he was currently on a suspended prison sentence.

After confronting his son, he was drowned by him.
