David Simpson (born 2003) is the son of Sophie Simpson and Blake Dean. His parents first met as teenagers in 1990 and dated for a few months before splitting up. Both moved away from Summer Bay in 1993; Sophie to Perth and Blake to The City. They met again in 2002 and 9 months later David was born ;-)
Although Blake and Sophie got engaged, it is unclear if they ever got around to tying to knot.

David has an older half sister called Tamara (born 1992). Her father - David Croft - was killed in a car accident in 1991. He never knew he was expecting a child with Sophie. It's unlikely that Sophie named her son after any other David, apart from her lost love.
