Synopsis[]

Racy bedroom scenes at Summer Bay House
Pippa and Michael discuss the problems they're having with Sophie. Michael asks Pippa if she thinks Tracey is making waves behind their backs. Pippa doesn't think so and says she is getting sick of the squabbling.
Marilyn loans Max and Heather $200 and they leave to book into their motel. They will come back in a while and have dinner with Marilyn. Marilyn goes to Alf's store and asks him to cash a cheque for $200. Alf figures out what is going on and his scepticism insults Marilyn.
Michael calls to Alf's store and while he is there, tells him about the problems he is having with his snoring. Alf produces a set of earplugs for him and says they have saved several marriages in Summer Bay. When he gets home and gives them to Pippa to wear at night, she shoots the idea down on the spot.
Tracey and Karen come into Alf's store and hear that Mrs Lynch is going to dinner at the Ross's that night. Tracey thinks Sophie must have set it up, hoping to suck up to her teacher. She lies to Pippa and wangles her way out of having dinner at home that night.
Three hours later, there is still no sign of Max and Heather. Marilyn announces that she and Bobby will call to their motel and prove for once and for all that they are genuine. When they get there, they learn from the receptionist that nobody at all has booked in all day. Crestfallen, Marilyn returns home and tries to come to terms with the likelihood that her parents are a pair of con artists. Then, there is a knock on the door. Max and Heather have returned. They changed their plans and booked into a motel in Yabbie Creek. And because they agreed to cash a cheque at the motel, they have no need for Marilyn's loan. They settle down to have the dinner Marilyn had prepared.
Michael comes home from Yabbie Creek with an anti-snoring pillow. He and Pippa lie down on their bed to try it out and quickly regret that they've got Margaret coming for dinner...
Margaret's visit turns out to be pretty disastrous. Sophie does her best to ignore her at first, and then becomes more hostile as the meal progresses. She announces she is dropping history, the subject Margaret is teaching her at school. When Margaret leaves, Pippa has words with Sophie about her behaviour tonight and of late. On her way home, a miserable Margaret calls into Alf's store to treat herself to a box of chocolates. While Alf is gone out the back to find a box Sophie comes into the shop. She tells Margaret to leave her alone and to stop drawing attention to her.
