Synopsis[]
Nick is down in the mouth about his and Lucinda’s new “slower” relationship, despite Bobby’s reassurances. After David’s birthday party, he asks Lucinda if they can meet up the next day. She turns him down in favour of a shopping trip.
Meanwhile, over at the diner, Blake, Haydn and a classmate called Dean are poring over a porno mag. Alf notices them and confiscates the magazine. Blake and Haydn are disappointed but Dean tells them he can lend them something even better. A porno video from his dad’s collection. It will cost them $5 each to borrow it for the afternoon. He considers this to be danger money.
The next morning, Blake establishes that both Alf and Ailsa will be out of the house for the afternoon – this is music to his ears because that’s where he and Haydn can watch the video when they get it off Dean. Ailsa also asks Blake if he will try one more time to get through to Karen about Revhead. She is barely on speaking terms with he and Alf any more and Ailsa is running out of ideas. To the surprise of nobody, Karen has no interest in listening to what Blake has to say.
At the school, Donald floats the temporary demotion from headmaster to Martin Bradley from the Department. It is unorthodox but Martin makes some phone calls. It looks like it could be an option but the new headmaster of Summer Bay High will also have a say in it.
Alf remembers that he has to do the books for that evening’s Rotary Club meeting so he goes home for the afternoon. And so, Blake and Haydn have no option but to try and look at their x-rated video “West Coast Women” in Summer Bay House. The only snag is, Sophie wants to do her homework downstairs. The pair pester her until she decides to do her homework in her room. Delighted to finally have the place to themselves, the two lads put the video on and settle down on the sofa. The tape jams…
