Synopsis[]

It is a flashback to Summer Bay in August 1970. Back in 1989, Bobby is unsuccessful in finding her real parents as the diary does not mention names, as Martha Stewart has the mystery mother down as "B", and her father is her mother's husband's best mate. Bobby reads August 14th, and how "B" says she is 5 months gone so cannot abort, and has to adopt out. Bobby reads the diary for the day she was born, 4lbs, 7 oz. Martha has found a perfect adoptive family, the Simpsons who she has known for years. Bobby feels she is a reject, so walks out of the Stewart house. Frank says they now know Bobby's mother was a friend of Alf's wife. Bobby and Frank quiz Celia about December 1970. Celia says that month was the same time she got engaged to Les Palmer who was later killed, at the same age as Frank is now. Celia gives details about how Martha was going away in December 1970 to see a friend, who seemed more important than her own sister in law. Celia thinks the friend could be Deirdre Forbes, and she mentions Donald also going. Celia is asked to say who she is, and if her name begins with B. Bobby and Frank visit Barbara Stewart in the city. Barbara is unaware the real reason why Bobby is here. Bobby wonders if Barbara is her mother. Bobby says she is here for Alan's book. Bobby says she is Alan's half sister and asks why Barbara gave her away, and who she was seeing behind Don's back.
