Synopsis[]
Is Rachel's caravan rocking, don't bother knocking? Not quite. Blake is eager to get straight down to business but she isn't so keen. She suggests they listen to some music first. Glumly, Blake looks through her cassettes.
Sophie and Pippa agree that she will pay towards the replacement of the damaged sofa - Pippa had been thinking about buying a second hand one anyway. $40 should do it. She then tells Pippa she needs to pop over to Karen's and get some tapes, even though it is quite late. She also tells Pippa she'll leave Rachel's dessert over to the caravan. As soon as she leaves the house, she bins it. When she gets to the Stewart's, Alf says he is going to pop over to the farm to check on Blake and Haydn. As soon as Alf leaves, they try to ring Haydn to warn him that Alf is on the way. The line is engaged because Haydn is chatting to a school friend. By the time they get through to him, Alf is almost at the house. All Haydn can do is make up a story about Blake going to check for foxes in the chook yard.
Rachel finally gets cold feet and tells Blake she's not ready to take things further. Despite his attempts to talk her into letting him stay, she sends him away. He spends the night on the beach and wakes up early. When he makes it up onto the road, he is spotted by Alf who also happens to be up and about early. Alf is suspicious and that's before he mentions the fox. What fox?
When Blake gets back to the farm, Haydn tries to find out how things went last night. Blake is a bit evasive but says he didn't come home last night, did he?
Nick's predictions that Marilyn's attempts to land the personnel officer job would end in disaster are well-founded. The interview panel has 6 people on it and there are some heavy hitters there. The interview is a bit of a car crash and none of Adam's waffle about Stewart Enterprises can save her. The CEO of the company ends the interview early and tells her she is not suitable for the job.
Pippa finds the binned dessert and is a bit suspicious.She calls over to Rachel's caravan and they have a chat. She asks if Blake had been there the previous night? Rachel admits that he was for a while but nothing happened. Pippa has a chat with her about being careful. She and Blake are still only 16 and maybe he isn't the right guy for her.
A furious Rachel calls to the Surf Club to have a word with Sophie. She thinks Sophie has been telling tales to Pippa. As they talk, Rachel and Sophie figure out that Blake must have been exaggerating about what had happened in the caravan. According to him, they had a pretty full-on night.
