H&a grant mitchell

Grant Mitchell. "Sorted". Sorry, wrong Grant, that is for the EastEnders character.

Yes, you read it, Grant Mitchell [1] , and not the EastEnd hardman, this Grant Mitchell was a character in Home And Away who first appeared in Ep 470 (9 Feb 1990) and last appeared in Ep 860 (20 Sep 1991). He was a schoolteacher at Summer Bay High School. Grant was played by former Neighbours star and GOLD LOGIE winning actor and singer Craig McLachlan. Ironically in early 1990, another iconic soap, the British TV soap EastEnders introduced that East End hardman to their show also called Grant Mitchell.

First Line: "That's cool, I thought I might stick around for a while anyway, I think I'll enjoy Summer Bay from what I've seen so far." (to Emma and Adam)

Last Line: "Them's the brakes I suppose. Listen, I'm outta here. You take care...See ya buddy." (to Adam, Matt and Sam)

In one huge soap coincidence, EastEnders and Home And Away both introduced a character called Grant Mitchell in February 1990. (Aus pace H&A not UK pace). In the UK, H&A had been showing on the network ITV [2] for a year by then and was still showing episodes from early 1989. H&A's Grant was first seen at Aus pace on the 9th February 1990 and the EastEnders Grant was first seen on the 22nd February 1990.
