Home and Away 1988[]

Sally Fletcher won tickets to attend a John Farnham concert (part of his 1988 Age of Reason tour) and to meet him backstage. Because she had fallen ill with chicken pox shortly before the concert, Frank Morgan and Bobby Simpson attended in her place. Upon hearing why young Sally hadn't been able to travel to his concert, John decided to quietly come to Summer Bay and visit her at home. He kept his promise and sang a couple of songs to Sally in her room. During his visit, Pippa Fletcher asked him if he would pose for some photographs with Walter Bertrand, who she had taken under her wing. John happily obliged and this helped rehabilitate the stricken man's reputation in Summer Bay.
