Judith Ann "Judy" Nunn, (AM) (born in 13th April, 1945, Perth, Western Australia) [1] an internationally renowned best selling author and former Australian actress who played original character Ailsa Stewart (Hogan) in Home and Away from the pilot episode in
1988 to 2000. Judy's husband Bruce Venables was a former policeman and actor, who coincidentally spoke the first line of dialogue in the series, they married the same week as her oncscreen character married Alf Stewart
Her career in TV started when she was a scriptwriter. She wrote episodes for Neighbours.
Pre H&A Career
She has appeared in numerous serials, including Skyways, Prisoner, A Country Practice and Sons and Daughter's , but is probably best known as Vicki Stafford in The Box, before retiring from acting to become a full time author. She was gawared the Order of Australia in the Queens Birthday honours.
