Kevin Baker, played by Wes Patten
Kevin Baker appeared in 23 episodes in 1993. He helped Roxanne Miller and Sarah Thompson out when their car broke down out in the bush. While waiting for her car to be repaired, Roxanne got to see some of Kevin's art. She encouraged him to return to school and complete his education. Kevin's brother Lenny, who worked as a mechanic, didn't see the value in that. Still, Kevin decided to move to Summer Bay and enrol in the school. He was taken in by the Ross family and moved into Summer Bay House.
At first Kevin rubbed Shane Parrish up the wrong way and the clashes between the pair culminated in them abseiling down the local lighthouse. They became friends after that, and Kevin also befriended Damian, Angel and Sarah. He and Shane went into business, with Kevin creating tourist-friendly art that would sell and make them money. Soon Kevin tired of this and decided that he needed to be authentic and that it was time to return to his own people. He was played by rugby league player Wes Patten and is notable for being one of the first indigenous characters to appear on Home and Away.
