Pre Home And Away career[]
Kip was born on 5th July 1975. He trained as a ballet dancer at the The McDonald College of Performing Arts, Sydney and the Australian Ballet School. From 1994 onwards he toured with a number of Australian ballet companies and had leading roles in many of their productions. In 2001 he danced onstage during Barbra Streisand's Australian concerts. In 2001 he played a Latin dancer in Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge.[2] Also in 2001, Kip appeared briefly on Home and Away. He played TAFE student Patrick Curl who went out on a date with Gypsy Nash.
Home And Away[]
In 2003 Kip was cast as Scott Hunter on Home and Away. In 2004 he won a Logie Award for Most Popular New Male Talent. He left Home and Away at the end of 2005.
After Home And Away.[]
After leaving Home and Away, Kip and his family moved to the UK. He began to appear as paramedic Greg Fallon on the BBC's long-running medical drama Casualty. He appeared in 70 episodes between 2006-2008. He also popped up a 2006 episode of Holby City, Casualty's spin-off show. After leaving Casualty, Kip moved back to Australia and another hospital drama. This time, he played Dr. Adam Rossi in All Saints (2008-2009). In 2012 he appeared in the series Tricky Business, before joining the cast of Dance Academy.
In 2013 Kip joined the cast of Neighbours, taking over the role of Brad Willis from Scott Michaelson. His on-screen wife Terese was played by another Home and Away veteran - Rebekah Elmaloglou (Sophie Simpson). To add to the very Home and Away-ness of it all, Kip's on-screen father Doug was played by Terence Donovan. Terence had appeared on Home and Away in early 1990, playing Rebekah/Sophie's onscreen father. Kip left Neighbours at the end of 2016, though his final scenes weren't shown until April of the following year.
After leaving Neighbours Kip returned to the stage, playing Frank Farmer in a stage production of The Bodyguard. Some online sources suggest he has also worked as a real estate agent. His most recent TV credit was a 2021 guest role in Harrow.
Memorable Info[]
Kip was the third actor to play Brad Willis on Neighbours. In 1989 the role was played by Benjamin Grant Mitchell (better known now as Ben Mitchell). It was then recast, with Scott Michaelson playing Brad from 1991-1993. By the time Neighbours producers reintroduced Brad, Scott Michaelson had retired from acting.
