Backstory[]
Kirby went to university to study medicine but soon realised she wanted to be a musician instead. Against her parent's wishes, she joined the band Lyrik, playing keyboards and writing lyrics. She began a relationship with lead singer Bob Forsyth. Eden Fowler and Remi Carter also played in the band.
2022[]
Lyrik arrived in Summer Bay and soon afterwards, were asked by Felicity Newman if they'd play at the re-opening of Salt. Kirby, Eden and Remi were happy to play the gig but Bob was against it. He had greater plans for his band and saw this as a regressive step. He left the band and asked Kirby to come with him. She refused and ended their relationship while she was at it. In need of a new lead singer, the band turned to Theo Poulos. It soon became obvious that Kirby and Theo were attracted to each other. The rest of the band were opposed to them becoming a couple but eventually it came to pass.
Lyrik filmed a music video in front of the lighthouse and it was seen by Bob. He made contact with Kirby and tried to get her back. Kirby agreed to allow him play a song at a Lyrik gig but when Theo found out, the entire gig was cancelled. Kirby admitted that she hadn't made herself clearer to Theo - if she had known how much she objected to Bob playing at their gig she would've just stopped him. When Kirby and Theo went in search of Bob, they found him sleeping in his car. He admitted that his solo career hadn't taken off and he was strapped for cash. They gave him enough money to put petrol into his car and to move on.
As well as being a musician, Kirby works as a waitress in Salt.
