Backstory[]
Lucinda grew up in Perth and had one older brother, David. The family moved around a bit when they were young and she was close to her big brother. As a child, collected dolls but had long since given up that hobby by the time she came to Summer Bay. She did a Fine Arts degree at university and after graduation did some travelling on her motorbike. During this time, she decided to reconnect with her uncle Donald, who she hadn't seen for many years.
1991-1992[]
Lucinda arrived in Summer Bay in 1991 to visit her uncle Donald. They hadn't seen each other for many years so Donald wasn't even sure what she looked like any more. She turned out to be nothing like he remembered. She was now a feisty young woman who was a biker and a vegetarian. At first, Lucinda attracted the attention of Matt Wilson and Adam Cameron, who both thought they were in with a chance with her. She wasn't interested in either but she enjoyed annoying Donald who disapproved of both. After a rocky start, Lucinda began a relationship with policeman Nick Parrish. That nearly hit the rocks when she got cold feet and decided that things were moving too quickly for her liking.
Lucinda's estranged brother David came to Summer Bay, hoping to patch things up with her. Initially reluctant to give her brother a hearing, Lou and David were reconciled. Tragically, David died in a car crash shortly afterwards. Lou's ex-boyfriend Ryan Lee, who had also been a friend of David's, came to Summer Bay shortly afterwards. It quickly became obvious that he wanted to win Lucinda back and managed to split her and Nick up again. Wasting no time, Ryan asked Lou to marry him and she agreed. When they were in a cab, heading for the airport, Lucinda noticed a series of home-made signs along the roadside. They had been put there by Nick, declaring his love for her. Lucinda got out of the cab and told Ryan she couldn't marry him.

Lucinda and her two suitors, Nick and Ryan.
Lucinda and Nick resumed their relationship and in time got engaged. By now they were living with Donald Fisher in his house. Unexpectedly, Ryan returned to Summer Bay and made no bones about his desire to win her back yet again. Lucinda began to cheat on Nick with Ryan but felt she was torn between the two guys. She loved both of them but couldn't choose which one she wanted to be with. Both Donald and Nick's younger brother Shane found out about her cheating and were none too happy about it. Yet again, she and Nick broke up. He took her back but by then their relationship was on its last legs.
Eventually, she left Summer Bay unhappy and single.
