Margot Dean was the late mother of Blake Dean and Karen Dean. They were born during her relationship with Les Bagley. When Margot died of cancer, Blake and Karen came to Summer Bay in search of Ailsa Stewart (nee Hogan). She was never seen onscreen, though her son Blake had a photograph of her.
Biography[]
Margot went to prison after falling for the wrong bloke. While inside, she became close friends with Ailsa Hogan, though they later lost touch. Blake went off the rails when he was in his teens and was sent to a juvenile detention centre. Afterwards, Margot developed cancer and Blake convinced himself that his bad behaviour had led to this.

In Ep 714 (28 Feb 1991), Blake showed a photo of Margot to his girlfriend Rachel Webb, and asked her not to tell anyone that he kept it in his wallet.
