He makes his first appearance on Wednesday 10th July 2024 when he arrives in the bay for Tane's youth program for teens troubled with the law. After a fight broke out between two other members, Perri came to Tane and told him that was not on, and politely asked if he could begin to learn what Tane was teaching alone. Tane started teaching Perri Maori traditions and Perri reciprocated. When Tane thought that Perri went home to his father, he found him sleeping on the beach. Tane wondered why, but later found out that Perri's dad was beating him. He later found out that the reason Perri had gone to juvy was because of a house robbery forced upon him by his father. Tane allowed Perri to stay at his house for a while. Perri eventually blocked his father on his phone. On his 18th birthday, Tane held a traditional Maori hangi for him, but it all became too much for him to handle and he stormed away. He said that the whole Maori thing was too much pressure and he wanted to be a normal teen. Tane later figured out that Perri struggled with reading and writing, and decided to get him tested. He found out he was probably dyslexic, which made Perri happy that he wasn't "stupid" like his father said he was.
Later, his father (named Carl) came into the bay to find him. He tried to get Perri to do one more job for him, but he refused. Tane threw him out of the surf club, telling him to never come back. After Carl got the dirt on the kidnapping charges Tane faced months before, he returned with the plan to protect Perri from what he believed to be a wrongful kidnapper. Tane threw Carl out again, and nearly got into a fight with him (which, with his suspended sentence, would have got him in jail by the way) but it was stopped by Rose and Harper. Once Tane's -wife Felicity passed away, Tane was having flashbacks at random times, which made Perri think that Tane wasn't bothered about his reading situation. However, when Harper explained it to him, he apologised. Perri acted supportive when Tane and Harper announce that they are having a child together, but he later admits to friend Theo that he plans to move to the Caravan Park as he feels like Tane doesn't need him getting in his way. When chatting to Tane later, he admits this and Tane tells him that his home is with him and that he belongs there. His father then returned to the bay, but after he tried to assault him, he decided to press charges against him. In court, however, Perri messed up his speech because of nerves due to the absence of Tane (he was with Harper as she'd had a pregnancy scare), and so his dad was found not guilty. He issued an AVO against him, but this didn't stop him, as he threatened him in the Surf Club. He later came to the house and attempted to drown Perri as a threat. A recent promo, however, has shown that Perri had actually killed his dad and went on the run.
