Bert King in 1995, played by Peter Collingwood.

Peter Trevor Collingwood (6th May, 1920, England - 23rd September, 2016) was an English born actor and playwright who played the role of Bert King (Pippa Ross's father) from 1995 to 1997,[1]

Pre H&A Career[]

Peter Collingwood was born in the south of England in 1920 (depending on the source, he was born in Surrey or in Kent). Aged 17 he enrolled in the Embassy School of Acting in London. Like many young men of his generation, his career was interrupted by World War II. Peter served in the British Navy but was discharged due to eyesight problems. After the war, he resumed his acting career. As well as working in theatre and writing his own play, he appeared in numerous British TV productions [2]

In 1967 Peter and his family emigrated to Australia. He immediately began to appear in Australian film and TV productions. His British roots weren't completely cut off though; he was cast in the Australian spin-off of the British sitcom "Are You Being Served?"[3] Peter continued to work steadily on Australian TV throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, often in mini series. He also had guest roles in Police Rescue, A Country Practice, E Street and erm....Les Patterson Saves the World,
