Backstory[]
Ric was a troubled teenager who was taken in by Alf Stewart after he was abandoned by his mother.
2004-2008[]
He initially struggled to fit in with his new family and had a troubled relationship with Alf's grandson who was also living with them at the time. Despite his difficult upbringing, Ric was a talented musician and had a passion for playing guitar. He formed a band with some of his fellow students at Summer Bay High and pursued his dream of becoming a rock star.
Throughout his time on "Home and Away," Ric was involved in several dramatic storylines, including being kidnapped by a group of criminals and being diagnosed with epilepsy. He also had several romantic relationships on the show, including with fellow student Matilda Hunter and nurse Cassie Turner. In 2008, after four years on the show, Furze decided to leave "Home and Away" to pursue other opportunities. Ric was written out of the show in a storyline in which he moved to the city to pursue his music career. Overall, Ric was a popular and well-liked character on "Home and Away," and is remembered fondly by fans of the show
