Salt

Salt Bar & Bistro is a restaurant located upstairs in the Surf Club. It was originally called Angelo's and was established by Angelo Rosetta, whose own parents had run a restaurant when he was growing up. It replaced Noah's Bar as the only licenced premises in town. One of Angelo's early employees was Indigo Walker but she got her marching orders after she served alcohol to an underage Ruby Buckton.

Darryl Braxton bought into the business and helped turn it into a pizza restaurant. They hired Xavier Austin and Casey Braxton to deliver pizza. In 2011 Darryl bought the restaurant outright from Angelo, who was moving away. Darryl's brother Heath briefly worked there, as did Liam Murphy. Indi Walker got her old job back but left shortly afterwards. Other people who came and went from the restaurant included Kyle Braxton, Tamara Kingsley, Josh Barrett, Martin Ashford

Inevitably, the restaurant being in the hands of the Braxtons meant trouble wasn't too far away. Brax's involvement with the restaurant came to an end in 2015 when he went on the run. He signed Angelo's over to his girlfriend Ricky Sharpe. Business continued as usual, with Maddy Osborne taking a job there. Ricky left Summer Bay in June 2016 and Phoebe Nicholson took charge of the business. Brody Morgan began working there as a chef.

In 2016 Brody Morgan bought the restaurant and renamed it Salt. He briefly lost it when he had to sell it to fund his time in rehab. He managed to buy it back a few months later.

Salt is currently owned by Mackenzie Booth, who bought it from Brody in 2019. Some locals who have worked there since her purchase include Ryder Jackson, Chloe Anderson, Mia Anderson, various Paratas and Eden Fowler.
