Shane Wilson was an unseen character in Home And Away. The older brother of series regular Matt Wilson, he was shot dead in 1981 by Al Simpson. Donald Fisher believed for many years that he had accidentally killed him in a hunting accident.

Shane Wilson was born in 1965 to Gary Wilson and his wife. His younger brother Matt was born around 1971.
In 1981, Shane was shot dead by his enemy Al Simpson in a forest near Summer Bay. Donald Fisher was hunting nearby at the time and thought he was the one who had accidentally shot Shane. Donald kept quiet about it for years. In January 1990, Al returned to Summer Bay, blackmailing Donald. For a time Donald became a police suspect but was saved when the ballistics experts took a look at his gun. It was found that Donald's gun could not have fired the bullet that had killed Shane. Eventually Al confessed to the shooting and was arrested.
