Shauna Bradley
Shauna Bradley (born 1979) was a character from August 1999 (Episode 2681) to July 2002 (Episode 3324). She was the daughter of Ailsa Stewart. Shauna was a popular character and was played by Kylie Watson.
Backstory[]
Shauna O'Rourke was born in 1979 while her mother Ailsa was serving a prison sentence for the manslaughter of her father Harold O'Rourke. Ailsa was raped by a prison officer and became pregnant. When Shauna was born, she was adopted by Margaret Bradley and her husband Bill. Margaret was a sister of Ailsa's cellmate Kate O'Connor.
1999-2002[]
Shauna moved to Summer Bay in 1999 and worked as a lifeguard. After a visit from her aunt Kate, she began to suspect that she was adopted. Her mother Margaret later admitted that she was adopted. Ailsa eventually told Shauna the truth and revealed that she was her biological mother. Sadly for her, Ailsa died the following year from a heart attack.
Shauna had relationships with Harry Reynolds, married man Gavin Campbell and Jude Lawson. In late 2001 Shauna discovered she had a heart defect and needed to have a pacemaker fitted. That brought to an end her time on the lifesaving team which was a huge thing for her. She became a teacher instead. She fell foul of the Philips brothers, being stalked by Kane and kidnapped by his brother Scott.
She developed feelings for Flynn Saunders but he didn't feel the same way. Angry, she moved away to Melbourne. She returned a year later to care for Alf after he suffered a heart attack. During this time, she reconciled with her ex Jude and they decided to move away.

Shauna's existence doesn't fit the previously understood timeline for Ailsa. It was understood that she had been imprisoned in 1969 for murdering her father and by rights it should have been in the years following this that she was raped by the prison officer. By 1989 (the year of Shauna's birth) she was long out of prison, married to Alf and expecting her son Duncan,
