From 1988 to late 1989, The Macklin Group, based in Sydney, "The City" owned Sands Resort in Summer Bay. Gordon Macklin was the owner of the property development group and his daughter Stacey Macklin worked for her father.
History[]
Gordon Macklin set himself up in business and became very successful. He made much money in property and then set up The Macklin Group. He was also known for being a shady dealer at times. Gordon owned several properties in the city and surrounds. He showed an interest in building a property in Summer Bay.
1988-1989[]
Gordon and his son Brett thought of ways to win the Summer Bay residnets over so they could invest.
Since 1989[]
After 1989 and the toxic waste scandal, Gordon Macklin severed all ties with Summer Bay. What became of the Macklin Group after that is uncertain but Brett returned to Summer Bay in 2005 to see his daughter Martha.
In 2015, Marilyn had amnesia, thinking it was 1996, and mentioned how Roo left Summer Bay in 1989 to work for The Macklin Group.
