Tracey Turner was a character in Home And Away in 1991. She is notable for being one of Pippa's two "failures" as a foster mother. (The other one being Dodge). She was first seen in Episode 785 and left during Episode 808. Tracey was played by Tania Martin.
Backstory[]
Tracey Turner was born in 1974 or 1975 and was put in foster homes across New South Wales. Prior to being placed with the Rosses, she had lived with her grandmother. When her grandmother fell ill, she was no longer able to handle her. Tracey was no stranger to drinking or shoplifting before coming to Summer Bay. She also attempted to seduce Haydn on her first night in the house, implying this wasn't her first rodeo when it came to boys.
1991[]
Tracey was fostered by Pippa and Michael Ross shortly after their marriage. The decision to have her come live with them wasn't unanimous. Michael wasn't sure he wanted to foster somebody so soon after marrying Pippa and indeed, the issue caused their first major argument. Sophie just didn't want anybody new coming to stay. The pair of them were over-ruled so Tracey came to live with them. She got off to a bad start with Sophie and it quickly escalated a campaign to undermine her. Tracey began to contrive situations which made Sophie look like she wasn't pulling her weight at home or was bullying her. Tracey was two-faced, telling Sophie that Pippa and her family were a bunch of country hicks but then acting like a really nice person around everybody else. Over time, she really got under Sophie's skin but did it so expertly, everybody thought Sophie was the one with the attitude problem. One of her many squabbles with Sophie turned physical, resulting in Tracey cracking a rib.

Tracey angry at Pippa
Tracey taunted Sophie over her relationship with Margaret Lynch, a new English teacher at Summer Bay High whose deceased daughter resembled Sophie. She reveled in calling her a teacher's pet and that she just wanted to suck up to her. Margaret loaned Sophie some books that were of great sentimental value to her. Tracey ripped them up and Sophie got the blame for it. She also undermined Sophie's friendship with her friend Karen Dean and got her on board as part of her campaign to get Sophie into more trouble.

Nothing screams "It's 1991" like someone clutching a giant ghetto blaster the size of a small car.
Despite her bitchiness, Tracey formed a close bond with Sally Fletcher and befriended Haydn. She almost got caught out when she stole housekeeping money to buy hairspray for Sophie and tried to get her into trouble. Ailsa put Pippa straight on that one because she remembered Tracey buying hairspray in the store.
Her comeuppance finally came (Episode 807) came when Sophie secretly recorded Tracey taunting her on a stereo. Angry at being caught out and annoyed that Pippa and Michael weren't falling for her lies any more, Tracey lashed out. She asked to be removed from the Rosses and their "stupid Brady Bunch family". And so, Tracey was taken away to be put into care again. The Family and Community Services person who came to collect her confirmed to Pippa that her grandmother wasn't well enough to have her back again. By this point she was sixteen years old so it isn't known what happened to her after this.
